Substrate - This is what you put on the bottom of your cage. It can be from paper towels, reptile carpet to playsand etc.
(Our care sheet goes into more detail on what kinds of substrates)
Hide Box - This is a place where your dragon can sleep or hide in comfort. It has a covered top and a hole large enough for your pet to get in and out of easily. It should be large enough so your pet can go inside and turn around in easily. This is a dark resting spot for your pet.
Lay Box - This is a place where your dragon can lays her eggs. It is a covered dark place. It contains moist substrate.
This is much like the hide box but must have plenty of moist substrate for digging. You will need to be able to easily access the inside of this to remove eggs that are laid. You can make this out of many things. A card board box open side down with a hole cut for access is an example. This must be large enough for your dragon to go in and easily turn around. The substrate used in Lay Boxes is usually playsand, Vermiculite or a combination of soils. Remember to only use substrates that are safe for your pet.
